Basil Pesto

Fresh, fragrant, and endlessly versatile, this homemade basil pesto adds instant flavour to any dish. Perfect tossed through pasta, spread on toast, or spooned over roasted vegetables.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • ⅓ c walnuts (or pinenuts if you have them)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ½ c finely grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ c olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine basil and pinenuts
  2. Add parmesan and garlic
  3. Slowly add oil 
  4. Check consistency and season with salt and pepper
